August 2011 - Roma (2 parts)
Painting based on a photograph of the skyline in Rome. The photograph was split into the upper and lower portions, and as such are referred to by the chinese characters for "up" and "down." (9"x12" each, Oil on canvas)

June 2011 - One Line a Day Calendar
This one-line-a-day calendar invites the user to write one sentence every day of the year for multiple years. In addition to keeping track of the days, it provides a means of reflection over a number of years. (Cardstock, index cards, scrap paper and ribbon)

A comment on the political culture in China, through the manifested idolization of Chairman Mao on the upright 1 RMB bill. (Copper Wire and Single RMB Bill)

February 2007 - Rarely Lonesome
Inspired by the surrealist Maggie Taylor, various elements were put together and repeated to create Rarely Lonesome. The empty bench and under water setting reiterate the sense of singularity. (Digital Print)



February 2007 - Connections
Made with similar materials and in the same style as Making Amends, Connections comments on the fragility of relationships. Matching and unmatching colors represent differing personalities, while the state of each column reflects the forced and rebuilt status of each connected pair. In the foreground, the telephone chords are neatly connected, while behind, the relationships are possibly being built or torn apart. (Textiles, Celophane)



September 2006 - Making Amends
Rather saying the overused common phrase "I love you," one should consider other words that are capable of replacing and meaning more than just "love." The three plain tops represent the everyman, showing that the various phrases should apply to everyone, and all relationships. (Textiles)



September 2006 - 170 Dance
The contrast of the mundane surroundings and dancer serve to remind the viewer to stop and smell the roses and enjoy living life despite the constant stream of busyness in the background. (Acrylic on Wood, Digital Print)
